Comments in blog disabled [updated]

You could always leave a comment with the blogs on this site. This feature has been disabled till I have sorted out some entries in the system log which do not compute. The issues revolve around the commenting feature in the blog. After analyzing the webserver logs I got an uneasy feeling that something is not right. So I disabled that feature and will take some time to shift through the logs. This feature will be turned on again when I'm convinced that nothing's wrong.

I have things sorted out now and comments are activated again for the blogs. The strange messages which I encountered in the logs were due to an esthetical error in the code of the website. The attacks continued till the last originating IP address was blocked yesterday. I am pleased to say that it still helps to send a mail to the abuse e-mail addresses of European and American providers. Mails to these addresses from Russian, Chinese and Korean providers are pointless, but at least within Europe and North-America your complaint is taken seriously.
